Midtown Deco Tour

Midtown Deco Tour

42nd Street, a major crosstown street in the heart of Manhattan, has held a special place in New Yorkers' imagination since at least the turn of the 20th century, and is the site of some of New York's best known buildings, including the United Nations, the Chrysler Building, Grand Central Terminal and Times Square. It also provides a unique lens for understanding New York's history. In this 3-hour architecture tour through 150 years of Manhattan's history we'll gaze up at mid-century gargoyles as they peer down from the Chrysler Building, step inside the Daily News Building and explore Grand Central Station, one of the busiest and most beautiful Beaux-Arts train stations in the world.
