South Village Italian Food Tour
No other city offers the variety and number (23,000 restaurants) of places where you can eat (and drink!) like NYC. Main theme of the tour is the Italian gastronomic culture which developed and is still alive in the Village. We will talk about the key ingredients of Italian food: wine, olive oil, bread and pasta, about its world famous "street food" like pizza and arancini and I will give you some special recipes, all seasoned with historical and personal annotations and many tastings along the way! During our walk we will visit the main artistic sites and places of historical interest, as the South Village was an important cultural crossover and the center of bohemian culture of the 20th century. I was born and raised in Italy, so I have a lot to tell!
